Hello from Zambia

I don't even known where to start...I have arrived safely to Lusaka and I'm at the House of Moses with the babies and staff. It's a bit different that we just put the babies down for bed and you are all still at the pool or ballgames enjoying the day. It's about bedtime for me.
The travel was not bad at all. I was able to stay awake until we left DC which was nice. I fell asleep before we left the ground from US. I was up off and on during the 13 hours but slept a good portion so it made it go by smooth. When I got to Ethiopia it was a breeze. I waited for 30 minutes and boarded next flight no customs or problems. I of course slept most of the next flight as well (5 hours) until we landed in Lusaka. Lusaka was a breeze too. I had to get a visitors visa and my bags were ready by the time I was done. Customs looked at my passport and sent me on--never opened one bag. Don, Jane and my new roomie, Julia, were waiting on me as soon as I came out of baggage claim. Super nice people! Mom/dad they want an IPad and to meet you:). They said tell you hello! Pretty sure I'm going to fit right in.
We took a quick tour of the house and I unpacked a bit, but was ready to get my hands in it! We have 0-8 months upstairs and 8-16 months downstairs. I spent the evening downstairs playing with the kids, feeding them and getting them ready for bed. It was amazing, but sad as well. JoBeth I'm glad you have living area for "us" downstairs. They of course melted my heart. They wanted to play and dance until we put them to bed and a few are still crying.
Tomorrow we are heading to church (kyndee, we are picking up uncle G and his band to take with us to church) then going to market to shop. We will hopefully visit the bigger kids tomorrow so I can distribute the school supplies, toys and clothes. I'll keep you update on our day.
Thanks for all of the safety prayers. God was with me all of the way!
Love you all

  1. Took my breath when I read your intro...from Zambia. I'm so glad your travels were good...answered prayers. Tell Don, Jane and Julia...I will be shocked if I don't meet them and hello.
Dad said tell you Gavin hit a clean double over the 3rd basemans head...he kept official book for the game and retired from that as soon as the game was over =). Also said to tell you how proud we are of you...how much we love you...and we're ready for you to come home now. =)

Did you try to skype already? Please let me know you're getting my posts. I'm putting them on face book message and blog since I'm not sure if they are sending.

I have not tried skyping yet, but I can't text via Skype and I have done that. I'll try to text you. I didn't know that was possible but Brad text and I was able to text back.
I'm going to save the babies from my singing Alicia. You all know I'm terrible at singing even though I torture some of you.
